He shall prepare a way

Vernon “Vern” Baldwin was announced and set apart Sunday, March 3, 2024 as the new President of the Greenville Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints assume volunteer leadership roles in the church and do so as part of their commitment to furthering the work of Jesus Christ. A Branch President leads a local congregation and the work of the Church. They care for members with love, helping them to become true followers of Jesus Christ.

While sharing his testimony with the congregation he said, “When he (Stake President Bruce McLaughlin) asked if I would consider accepting a call to become the new branch president, I thought of all the responsibility and work that such a calling would entail. I quickly realized that I would be calling on Heavenly Father more to ask for His guidance and working to put the plans He presented to me in place here in Greenville.” President Baldwin continued, “... that with His help and guidance I could accomplish anything He directed me to do.” Quoting Nephi 3:7, he offered “I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments until the children of men, save He shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.”

President Baldwin is shown here with his wife, Kirsten. They currently reside in Coxsackie and are long-standing members of the Greenville Branch at 2010 Co Rd 41 in Greenville NY. Services start at 10:00 am on Sundays and all are welcome!
