“Jesus Christ is Still Working on Me!”

"The week before Hallowe'en (Oct 2021), my husband and I were sitting outside waiting for my granddaughter  Kayla's school bus and these two missionaries (Elder Haskin and Elder Stengel) came over and asked my husband if he knew Jesus Christ. My husband said 'Yes, but talk to my wife she can tell you all about Him.'

I told the missionaries that Jesus is still working on me because I'm not perfect but I try to do right by Him all the time. Since meeting with the missionaries, I don't get upset about everything anymore. I stopped drinking coffee and I curb my mouth because I could shock a sailor! I don't use that language as much but every now and then I slip up and that's why I say Jesus Christ is still working on me.

My husband and I were baptized this past January 15th, 2022.

I'd like to share this thought from Gospel Principles: 'Jesus Christ loves all of us more than we can understand: when he was on earth he served the poor, the ignorant, the sinner, the despised. He taught the gospel to all who would listen, fed crowds of hungry people who came to hear him, healed the sick, and raised the dead.'

Now that's faith! I know that this church is true and I'm grateful that we have a living prophet."
