The Pure Love of Christ

On my mission, I have experienced the pure love of Christ so much more than I ever had before. I have come to know of my Savior's love for me, but I also have felt His love for all of His children. As I've had the opportunity to meet so many people, to teach and testify of Christ, and to help them know their Savior, I have learned so much about the way our Heavenly Father feels for each of us. I know that He cares so deeply about us all and wants each of us to enter and stay on the covenant path back to Him. There are so many people I've gotten to work with and the love I feel for them is indescribable.

The scripture that my mission is built on is Moroni 7:47-48 "But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen."

The opportunity to serve the Lord in Las Vegas and to teach His wonderful sons and daughters has helped me to understand just a little bit more how much our Heavenly Father loves and cares about each one of us. When we are motivated by love, we will not be afraid to share the gospel, because we know it is God's message to His children. When we love God, no commandment is too hard to keep, because we know when we make mistakes, Christ will be there to heal us and change our hearts for the better.

I bear my testimony that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know you and feel a powerful love and desire for you to come back home to live with Them. I promise that as you keep your covenants with the Lord and stand as His witness, you will feel of His love for you and everyone. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
